Rodeo Pony

Rodeo Pony includes a core group of women who have been active musicians for nearly two decades, known each other much of that time, and only formed together as a musical group less than a year ago.  They are smart, sexy, and sensitive with a rockin’ stage presence and blended harmonies that have left many industry professionals in awe.   During their short period of time as a band, they have competed on Nashville Star, been featured on an episode of John Rich’s hit CMT series Gone Country, been included in a compilation CD for Oskar Blues, and will appear on the HGTV special for the River's and Spire's festival this April in Clarksville, TN.  Additionally they have performed with Marty Stuart, Jewel, Lari White, and Big and Rich.

Jason Michaels The Illusionist

Known for a slight edginess and raw energy, Jason creates magic and illusions that will make you laugh, cry, cringe, and question your own understanding of reality.  Jason Michaels was bitten by the magic bug as a high school student.  About the same time he developed an interest in theatre as well.  For the next six years Jason devoted himself to the study of acting while pursuing his passion for magic and illusion.  After graduating from college, he began to work with world-renowned Illusionist Brett Daniels learning the craft of magic hands-on.  Jason took the leap and ventured out on his own after several years of this “post-graduate work”. He has since opened for Tony Orlando, wowed celebrities, such as LeAnn Rimes, Barbara Mandrell, and Martina McBride, and produced several shows including, “The Magic World of Jason Michaels”, “Life, Death and Majik”, and “Illusion-The Many Faces of Jason Michaels”.  A member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and The Society of American Magicians, Jason has won many awards, including several international titles.  He continues to receive high accolades from his peers.

Taylor Ware

At age 7 she got a yodeling instruction book and tape while attending a music convention with a friend. She fell in love with yodeling. Taylor had never even heard of yodeling, and would not have ever tried it if not for this yodeling seminar given by Margo Smith. Taylor taught herself how to yodel using the instructional book and tape.  She was surprised to win a talent contest in Branson, Missouri.  Taylor then won a county fair talent competition singing Cowboy Sweetheart which sent her to the Illinois State Fair Talent competition where she placed second....all with her self taught yodeling.  Later, after meeting Margo in Illinois, Taylor took yodeling lessons from her and still admires and respects her.  She has also gotten pointers from some of her other yodeling mentors to fine tune her yodeling over the years.  Ranger Doug, Wylie Gustafson, Kenny Roberts, Carolina Cotton, Jewel and Janet McBride. Taylor won the Yahoo! Yodel Challenge National Championship at age 9 in New York City.  She has performed on the world famous Grand Ole Opry several times. A top finalist on NBC's big hit last summer, "America's Got Talent" , she performed on the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon last fall in Las Vegas, and also sang the National Anthem at  Liberty Bowl Football Game in December on ESPN.

Participating Entertainers

Ricky Owens and The Farm Bureau

While there are lot of artist “rediscovering” their roots, Richie Owens and the Farm Bureau isn’t jumping on that cart. They’ve never forgotten where they started. As the latest artist to emerge from the Knoxville/Nashville music scene, they join a lineage that includes Don Gibson, Roy Acuff, Chet Atkins, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, and Dolly Parton.
The strong musical pull of Appalachia is unmistakable in songs such as “Pigeon River Flood” and “Time Walked Away.” But they know how to rock, too, and their pop sensibilities are evident. “I Can’t Stay” could be straight off a Everly Brothers or early Beatles record, “Goodnight” wouldn’t be out of place on a Tom Petty album. Their music has an emotional directness that connects with the audience and captures the depth, energy, and passion of their Southern roots.
